Electric country, with gas moving in

Cheap hydro power made the Tri-Cities an electric-range stronghold for decades, and the veterans prove it: coil-top workhorses in Pasco's east side and Kennewick's older grids that have outlived their original owners' mortgages. Newer subdivisions bring gas lines and pro-look ranges into the mix. Our truck carries both worlds — elements, sockets and switches for the electric fleet; igniters, valves and spark modules for the gas one — and every gas repair ends with a leak check, no exceptions.

The one-cabinet philosophy

A range is several small machines sharing a shell, and they age together. When we open the cabinet for your dead bake element, the igniter, sensor, door hinges and wiring harness get eyes on them too — a sixty-second health pass that regularly catches the next failure while it's still cheap. You'll hear what we saw, what's urgent and what can wait, priced separately and honestly.

Canning-season warning: water-bath canning runs burners at maximum for hours, the hardest duty a residential range ever pulls. If autumn canning is your tradition, book the pre-season checkup — burner sockets fail mid-batch otherwise, always mid-batch.

Priced flat, explained plainly

Finished cooking-stack repairs land between $245 and $449. The quote is written before work starts, the $89 diagnostic credits into it, and the explanation of what failed comes in whichever language your kitchen speaks. Error code on the display? Read it to dispatch — it often tells us which part rides the truck.

FAQ

Cooking Questions From Real Calls

The oven died a week before a family event. Honest timeline?

Bake elements and igniters are stock items, so an oven-only failure is typically diagnosed and fixed in one visit, booked within a day or two. Holiday weeks compress fast — call the day it misbehaves, not the day before guests arrive.

Is a glass-top crack repairable?

A cracked panel means replacement of the glass itself, which we'll price honestly against the machine's value. A dead zone under intact glass is a different story — usually the radiant element beneath, serviced from below with the surface protected.

My gas burner clicks after every boil-over. Normal?

Moisture in the spark path — usually temporary. Dry the cap, reseat it, and give it an hour. Clicking that persists days after a spill points to a fouled electrode or a module holding a grudge; both are quick fixes for us.

Can an oven be off by 25 degrees without showing an error?

Absolutely — sensors drift gradually and no code fires. If bakes run long or edges burn while centers lag, ask for the calibration check during any visit; verifying true temperature takes minutes and settles the argument with your recipes.

Do you handle double ovens and slide-in ranges?

Yes, including wall-mounted doubles and tight slide-in installs. They add access time, not price games — the corridor and flat-quote process hold exactly the same.

Dinner doesn't reschedule itself.

One visit covers stove, range and oven — with the next failure spotted early.
